A few days ago we talked about the pricing of wireless broadband in US. Here’s more information on Voice vs. Data pricing. This was taken from information shared by Warid at a recent conference.

Voice call price:
Re. 1 per 60 sec
Data call price:
Rs 15 per MB or Rs 2.2 per 60 sec
At 20 kbps (2.5 kBps)

The chart below shows the growth of wireless data usage after Warid introduced EDGE service. The service is offered in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad. This goes to show that if given a reasonable choice, consumers would use wireless broadband.
