Telecom Industry in Pakistan is now-a-days very much competitive. Every company is trying their level best to attract customers towards interesting packages, released time to time.
If we just take mobile operators in Pakistan i.e. Mobilink, Telenor, Ufone, Warid and China Mobile, they are just trying to beat each other in different aspects. For example, if one of them starts a package of ghanta offer or unlimited SMS, the others follow it giving different and more competitive prices. It is sometimes confusing for people as they don’t understand or can’t decide which one to choose. Finally, some of the youngsters decided to keep 2-5 mobile SIMs, so they can avail most suitable package irrespective of the network.Back in 1999, it was 2-4 rupees per SMS and now-a-days you can subscribe for unlimited SMS for some really cheap rates on all mobile networks. At that time, people used to call someone when they really need to talk something important but now-a-days they spend hours talking of nothing. This was just 10 years back (not 100 or something) and I see the future of mobile network industry in such a way that they will probably start paying people to call someone just to beat the competition.
