The Indian Times reported on July 30, 2009 that
The home ministry is set to give security clearance to Norwegian telecom firm Telenor to hike its shareholding in Unitech Wireless, byup to 74%, on the condition that none of the staff who have worked in Telenor Pakistan —100% owned by the Telenor group — are employed here.
Indian Telecom industry is either concerned with their security or may have professional jealousy that is why they have made this restriction. India and Pakistan both are living together side for more than 60 years but still both countries lack a trust and confidence on each other.
